Holy Trinity CE Primary School

The Problem

Three years ago, Holy Trinity was home to students whose future prospects were bleak because the teachers lacked the tools to deliver the ultimate learning experience. With a new headteacher leading a culture of aspirations, which focuses on learning, Ofsted deemed the school to be ‘good with outstanding leadership’.

The Solution

Headteacher Simon Knowles understands that for students to be the best they can possibly be, they need technology that supports:

  • Flexibility: to adapt to different learning styles, subjects and teaching methods.
  • Mobility: for student learning in the environment that suits them best.
  • Collaboration: between students, teachers and other schools.
  • Expansion: so there’s no limit to what your school can achieve.

Gone are the days when IT’s only responsibility was basic support to fix PC issues. Now, technology belongs in the classroom, empowering the next generation as they take their first steps on their educational journey.

The Results

When the Department for Education released its most recent league tables, 100% of pupils at the school achieved Level 4, and nearly two-thirds (63%) achieved Level 5 in their Key Stage 2 (11-year-old) SATS results. The awesome results ranked the school in first place for Haringey, 7th best in London and 34th in the whole country.

Speech Marks Now our creative computing curriculum is embedded across the school. The students use a variety of programmes and apps to publish, research and consolidate their learning. In addition, they are indulging in computational thinking, such as how a computer and the internet work, how we communicate and how to code using ‘Scratch’, ‘Espresso Coding’ and various iPad apps.”
