Restarting your Htek VoIP handset
Handsets can sometimes lock up and stop working properly. It can be caused by power glitches overnight, network failures etc. In these cases, it is advisable to restart your handset.
Once restarted, please wait a few minutes for the handset to fully boot. During this time, your handset connects to your network and then checks for any upgrades, loading them if necessary.

There are a number of ways to restart your handset:-

If you have a power supply.
The handset will have one or two network cables and a power cable.
Switch the plug off at the socket, wait 10 seconds and switch it back on.​
If you can't locate the power socket, unplug the power cable from the handset,
wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.

If there is only one lead (network cable) into the handset.
This means the power is supplied via the network cable (power over ethernet or PoE).
Remove this cable (note there is a small locking lug on the top side), wait 10 seconds,
and reconnect. The lug should lock in with a click.

​​​​​If there are two network cables into the handset.
Locate the cable connecting the handset to the network socket labelled ‘internet’.
Remove this cable (note there is a small locking lug on the top side), wait 10 seconds,
and reconnect. The lug should lock in with a click when reconnected.
